12 Hours To Please Me on BBC Radio 2

TBI pays tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ famous 12-hour recording session at Abbey Road Studios, which resulted in the iconic LP Please Please Me.  Artists such as The Stereophonics, Graham Coxon, Gabrielle Aplin, Beverley Knight, Joss Stone, Ian Broudie, Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook of Squeeze take a song each and attempt the same feat 50 years to the date.

The day started with Chris Evans and Stereophonics front man Kelly Jones busking a short version of I Saw Her Standing There in the snow outside Abbey Road. The crowd of tourists who typically gather outside to recreate the famous pedestrian crossing look on, bemused.

A recap of the entire day is available on the 12 Hours to Please Me live blog which you can access by clicking the link below.
