Elvis: That’s All Right 60 Years On

O5th July 1954, a 19-year-old Elvis Presley walked into Sun Studio and recorded three tracks.

To markthe anniversary of Elvis’s historic recording, Hollywood actor and musician Sam Palladio hosted That’s All Right: 60 Years On live from Sun Studio in Memphis.

Artists including The Pierces, Laura Bell Bundy and Candi Staton performed the songs Elvis recorded that night as well as other classics live on BBC Radio 2 then in an accompanying documentary for BBC Four interviewed those who knew Elvis personally. From little-known anecdotes from the story of Elvis’s first 19 years to his obsession with music Palladio shares the story which would go on the shape the history of popular music for ever.
