Saxophonist and club owner, Ronnie Scott, created an iconic jazz institution – arguably the world’s most famous jazz club today – that plays host world-class jazz performances.
This 2-part documentary featured interviews with top US jazz stars, Sonny Rollins, Diana Krall, Monty Alexander plus leading UK musicians Courtney Pine, Guy Barker and Claire Martin, jazz DJ Gilles Peterson, and music writer Jack Massarik, among others, all recalling their enduring memories of Ronnie’s unique humour and musicianship and their many life-changing musical experiences at this iconic venue.
